Entire staff maliciously complies with the controlling manager's demands to follow exact contract hours, leaving mid-meeting at exactly 4:30, getting her fired after complaining to HR: 'She sends meeting invite for 4.30 pm, everyone rejects it'

Sometimes it feels as though people have won their job positions in a lucky packet…If you have a Michelin-star restaurant, you aren't going to have a chef who can't cook, so why do so many companies have managers who can't manage? 

This employee is left feeling frustrated and undermined by his new manager, so he does what any fed-up employee would do… engages in the art of office revenge. After constant disputes with his manager about the exact times he clocks in and out of the office, despite completing all his weekly hours, he decides to throw that inflexibility back at her, with some teammates at his side. So he and his fellow coworkers commit to clocking in and out and exactly 8 am and 4:30 pm on the dot, no exceptions, not even via specific requests. So when the office manager is in the middle of a later meeting and 4:30 pm strikes, all the office members get up and go home, before she even has a chance to ask questions..

Let's just say her position as manager lasted as long as an episode of The Office.
